Students from Specific High Schools

Navigation: Tools > Smart Search

Scenario: Identify all students who have attended John Marshall Business & Civic or Fairless High School. 

Define your Smart Search criteria

  • High School Name = John Marshall Business & Civic, Fairless High School

    Tip: High School must have one or more students listed on their relationship table.

  • Student Type = All

 

Build your Smart Search 

  1. Group 1

    1. Match Type: Match Any

      Tip: Use Match Any if identifying students from more than one high school. Use Match All if identifying students from one high school.

    2. Condition 1: School – School
    3. Operator: Contains any of
    4. Condition Value: Enter High School name
    5. Field: Active
    6. Primary: Yes
    7. Click  to add a Condition
    8. Condition 1: School – School
    9. Operator: Contains any of 
    10. Condition Value: Enter High School name
    11. Field: Active
    12. Primary: Yes



      Tip: If you want to search for students with a specific Student Status (i.e. prospect – Prospect-Active), add a Linked Group using Student Status for the condition, and select the appropriate condition value. See the steps 2 – 3  below.

  2. Add a Linked Group

    1. Click
    2. Select Linked Group. Linked Group 2 will display.




  3. Add the criteria for Linked Group 2 (Student Status)

    1. Condition 1: Student Status – Student Status
    2. Operator: Contains any of
    3. Condition Value: Prospect – Prospect-Active
    4. Field: Active
    5. Primary: Yes
    6. Click Save Changes or Run


 

Results

Tip: The Smart Search Results identifies the students that attended the selected high school(s). Right-click the Full Name to open the record and verify the results. This Smart Search can be used to prepare for a High School campus visit or other activity.
